Elephants- notices

20 July 2025 (by Miss Rowland (elephants))

Notices to get organised.

I can't quite believe the children only have a few days left in Elephant class- they do say time flies when you're having fun!

A couple of notices:

Tuesday- this is our drive in cinema day! I can't wait to see all of your vehicle creations. In the morning, parents are to drop their cars in the hall by carrying them up the blue ramp. If you can let the majority of children enter before doing this, that would be great to avoid congestion. At the end of the day (weather permitting) we will ensure all the cars are on the courtyard ready to collect at the end of the day. In the case of rain, you will collect from the hall. Nobody has approached me to say they haven't been able to make one so I am excited to see everybody's  work and have a fabulous day- car show and film viewing.

Tuesday- In between the vehicle fun Tuesday, we have a 50 minute skateboarding workshop. Children can wear uniform however I suggest legs are covered (trousers rather than dresses) and they can bring trainers with them in a named bag. If it is easier to bring their trainers in tomorrow so they have less to carry on Tuesday, this is fine.

Wednesday- the last day in Year One! I have a couple of activities planned to celebrate the last day, however children are welcome to bring in games to play with their friends. No electronics please. Again games should be in a named bag so all children return home with the right items.

I would like to finish by saying a huge thank you for your support this year; it has been a pleasure getting to know you all and working together for your children. What a super year it has been.

Miss Rowland
