We have had a fantastic day on our class trip.
To kickstart our History learning about toys, we visited Sudbury museum of childhood today. We spent the morning exploring the museum, where there was many toys, even a ball which was 3000 years old! There was lots of interactive things for us to do as we went around. We also learnt that in Victorian times, if you couldn't afford to go to school, then you had to go to work. We got to experience what it would have been like to work as a chimney sweep- we all climbed the dark chimney. At lunchtime, we played on the park and did some fantastic climbing and swinging. This afternoon we participated in a workshop learning how to use clues such as the material a toy is made from, to distinguish whether a toy is old or new.
