Meerkats - Spring 12 January 2025 (by Mr Scott (meerkats)) |
Take a look at what we will be up to this half-term.
Happy New Year to our meerkat mob and their families! We hope you have had a super Christmas break.
Our first Big Question of 2025 is ‘What would it be like to live in Japan?’ Our planning for this half-term is on our class Big Question page. Follow the link below to take a look. You will also find our sticky vocabulary and knowledge organiser on this page. A paper copy of the knowledge organiser was sent home with your child before we broke up, along with details of our pre-learning task. If you complete this, it should be sent into school by Friday 17th January. Details of the task are also on our Homework page. Homework Club will begin again this Monday (6th January) so those pupils can complete their pre-learning task at the club.
Our P.E. lessons will continue to be on a Tuesday so could all pupils have their P.E. kit in school for this Tuesday (7th January) please.
A couple of dates on our plan to highlight:
We will be having a ‘Japan Day’ on Wednesday February 5th. Pupils are invited to come into school dressed in anything Japan related or wearing the colours of the Japanese flag (red and white). We will be having a day of learning and activities about Japan.
Year 2 will be visiting David Nieper Academy on the morning of Wednesday 12th February when they will take part in learning activities alongside other Year 2 pupils from local schools. We will return to school for lunch.
Our Reading Buddy treat will be at the end of this half-term on Friday 14th February.
Have a great weekend and we look forward to seeing you on Monday.
