A small group of talented young scientists from Year 5 were lucky enough to be invited to David Nieper Academy today for a fun day of scientific activities.
The children were tasked with designing and building a glider taking into account air resistance, gravity, thrust and lift. They designed and built an initial model which they then had to test and adapt, in order to counteract the forces working against, with the aim of flying the furthest distance.
