Koalas - Rivers Trip3 July 2019 (by Mrs Marsh (koalas)) |
Holmebrook Valley Park The children have had a fantastic day, investigating rivers!
To begin the day, the children were introduced to a selection of maps, which were designed for them to familiarise themselves with Holmebrook.
After that, they headed off into the park, where they completed some field work. Using their maps, they followed the route taken through the park, marking on and learning about key features of a map, as well as learning about the history of the park.
The children were shown an excellent example of a river and developed their knowledge about the features of a river. From this, they were able to sketch out the river.
After lunch, the children were able to investigate rivers.
Koala class have had a wonderful day and would like to thank Mr. Walmsley, Miss. Jackson, Miss. Fenlon, Miss. Norton and Mrs. Meegan for taking us.
