Although we still have a few weeks left of the holidays, I am really excited for September and thought I would share the planning, vocabulary and knowledge organiser for the first term so you can read through them at a time that is convenient for you. Please follow the link below to view them. Our first big question is, 'What would life be like as a pirate?' and we have lots of exciting learning experiences planned. 

You will see on the knowledge organiser that I have set you a pre-learning task that is due in on Monday 9th September. Linked to our big question, I would like you to create a pirate using a media of your choice, examples including paint, collage, junk modelling, using natural materials etc. This pre-learning task is optional however those that do complete it will receive merits.

Also a date for your diary- Thursday 17th October is our pirate party day. We will be completing lots of geography and pirate themed activities and children can come to school dressed as a pirate on this day.

Myself, Mrs Horner and Miss Hilton will be working with your children this coming year and we are really looking forward to seeing the children return as Year Ones on Thursday 5th September.
