In Design and Technology this half term we have been designing and making windmills! We started our series of lessons by listening to the song 'Mouse who lived in a windmill in Old Amsterdam.' We decided we were going to make windmills for the mouse! The design criteria was that it must: stand up  on its own, be decorated for its owner, should have three parts and should blow in the wind. We designed our windmills to fit this purpose and then used some super skills to make them. We then labelled our windmills with some fantastic vocabulary- structure, axle and turbine.
