Koala's Homework Ideas
There are a few websites I'd like you to take a look at in the next few weeks as we approach the MTC check in June. Some are great for learning your timetables (your parents might appreciate a few of the tunes too :) others will help you with the Maths and English we are doing in class. One is a game you might enjoy playing when you're looking for something different. Please take a look and let me know what you think below...

Weekly Homework
The expectation for homework in Key Stage Two is 60 minutes per week. This is a combination of:
- 15 minutes practicing times tables on TT Rockstars.
- 15 minutes on Ed Shed completing a spelling assignment.
- 30 minutes of reading. (This can be spread out over the week e.g. three ten minute sessions, but must be recorded in your child’s reading record.)
Homework will be set on a Monday, to be completed by the following Monday. Log in details for Ed Shed and TT Rockstars will be sent home with your child within the first week back and you will find their logins glued into their reading records. I will show all of the children how to complete the assignments before they are asked to complete them at home.
ALL HOMEWORK THAT IS NOT COMPLETE ON TIME WILL BE RECORDED.
Should you have any worries or concerns regarding your child's homework, throughout the year, then please do not hesitate to contact me.
Reading at Home Certificates
Take a look at our reading certificate collection below!
These are awarded to the children once they have reached a milestone with the number of times they have read at home.
The certificates are as follows:
25 - Bronze / 50 - Silver / 75 - Gold / 100 - Platinum / 150 - Platinum Plus / 200 - Diamond / 300 - Commended / 400 - Outstanding.
Once your child has collected the full set, they are then able to choose their own book to keep!
